The Environment

Our environment consists of two indoor classrooms and a large outdoor area.

Each room caters for up to  20 children divided into age groups, that is, the Junior Preschool room (Joeys) and the Preschool room (Kangaroos). Each indoor area has been thoughtfully planned to ensure children have developmentally appropriate resources to play with.

Junior Preschool Environment

Overflowing with opinions, ideas and enthusiasm, our Junior preschoolers are curious, playful and are a bunch of characters… and their environment has been designed accordingly. Our Junior preschool room offers a steady introduction to structured learning, allowing them to begin easing towards preschool years without losing the sense of fun and play. During these formative years the children begin to develop their sense of self and become increasingly confident in who they are. We ensure our environment allows for a space to play, rest and socialise.

Preschool Environment

Our Preschool environment is designed to prepare our children in the final stage before they head off to big school. At this age our children are sponges, absorbing everything around them, it is our role to ensure their day offers opportunity for stimulation and relaxation. The rhythm of the day is structured in a more formalised environment with a balance of play, rest and fun.

Our Commitment to Child Safety

Our service boasts large windows which separate the rooms, bathrooms, and outdoor area. This is specifically important for supervision of children across spaces, it doesn’t matter where you are standing there is great line of sight for our children. Upholding child safe practices are paramount to ensure children’s rights are upheld. At BKP we have a statement of commitment centred on Child Protection.
